As a proud project partner of the JUST Fashion, the Macedonian Fashion Association (MFA) is pleased to invite you to the ECOSYSTEX Conference 2026—where Europe’s leading innovators, researchers, and industry experts will come together to shape the future of sustainable and circular textiles.
Under the theme “Circular Textiles Beyond Recycling”, the ECOSYSTEX Conference 2026 will explore innovative approaches to addressing the full lifecycle of textiles within a circular economy. Through keynote sessions, networking, project showcases, and workshops, participants will examine how sustainability can be embedded across textile and fashion value chains.
This year’s programme features contributions from several European initiatives, including Just Fashion, CISUTAC, Circula-TEX, SOLSTICE, Fabrix, and CRAFT-IT4SD. The conference will also host the official presentation of the Bioeconomy Innovation Strategy for the European Fibres, Textiles & Apparel Industry, developed through a collaborative co-creation process within the Circular & Biobased Textiles Innovation Hub.
As part of its contribution to the conference, Just Fashion will lead a workshop entitled “Developing a Fashion Industry Sustainability Index (FISI)”. The session will introduce participants to the Just Fashion FISI, a practical tool designed to support fashion (M)SMEs in assessing and improving their sustainability performance across key business areas. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the proposed indicators, gain insights from real-world testing and validation activities, and contribute to the refinement of the tool. The workshop will also aim for weighting and combining indicators into a single sustainability index, ensuring that stakeholder perspectives are reflected in the tool’s development.
Beyond the conference sessions, the programme also includes exclusive visits, such as a CISUTAC pilot showcase at De Kringwinkel Antwerp, featuring a semi-automated garment repair station, and a Fashion & Sustainability Walk through Antwerp guided by MoMu Fashion Museum, among other activities.
