We are delighted to continue our collaboration and mentorship with the students from DUCOR “Partenija Zografski” Skopje. With the support of Prof. Ljubisha Saveski and young designer Angela Spasovska – participant from our project, together we created aprons for the workshops. We used the leftover textile, provided by a Macedonian factory.
Sustainability education can open up opportunities for young people to learn and engage in existing local and global movements, as well as to help them develop their personal skills and interests in sustainable living and design.
The aprons were made within three days by the professor Ljubisha Saveski and the young designer Angela Spasovska, the students from DUCOR “Partenija Zografski” who attended the professor’s classes also helped in making the aprons. During those three days, they worked for three hours each.
On the first day, the design of the aprons was discussed, their measurements and how many pockets they should have in order to make them practical, since the design of the aprons was decided, the cut was made and a prototype was established. On the second day, all the necessary pieces were cut and ironed. Then finally on the third day, the pieces were put together, sewn, and finished.
💫And …Voila!
