Thanks to the Textile Trade Association – Textile Cluster, which was an excellent host of this wonderful event, we were able to attend and contribute to going one step further in our fashion community.
The Textile Trade Association – Textile Cluster is part of the “Fashion Employment Hub” project, co-financed by the European Union and the national funds of the countries participating in the Interreg IPA CBC program “Greece – Republic of North Macedonia 2014-2020”.
So, on December 15 (Thursday), 2022, at 15:00h, an Info Day titled “Ask the Expert” was held as part of “The Employment Hub” project. The event lasted two hours, and during it, we managed to exchange a lot of information.
We started the topic of “Ask the Expert – How to prepare for your first visit and networking at the fair” with Natasha Sivevska introducing what “The Fashion Employment Hub” project is really about.
The next stage came down to four other presenters and supporters of this project. The first name on the agenda was Irina Tosheva, who presented different points of view and ways to promote designer collections. Next performed Sanja Lazarevska, the director of the brand for biodegradable tights “Four Twenty-Two,” with her so far appearances and experience at the fairs. The next who took the stage was Kristina Ilievska, the director of the “ONLYAFEW” agency, with her online presentation on how to approach a customer and present your portfolio at a fashion fair or showroom. Finally, Svetlana Bogova Jovanovska, the co-founder of the Macedonian Fashion Association and director of Fashion Weekend Skopje, presented herself with the key factors for promoting young designers during exhibitions, fairs, and fashion week.
This Info Day was an excellent chance for both fashion brands and designers to get a bunch of questions and answers about the biggest fashion fair in Southeast Europe – the Athens Fashion Trade Show. The fair is to be held at the beginning of next year, in the period January 26-29, and 10 brands will be honored to participate in the fair.
The Info Day was just a good base and the beginning of discussions and sharing experiences by the most prominent individuals from the fashion industry. This is just another proof of how important these events are and that we will take the networking of people in this industry to the next level.
