With an educational visit to the “BMF” rice factory in the village of Zrnovci, organizers of the project “Agricultural residues as textile raw material and design material in the municipality of Kočani” got acquainted with the process of processing rice and the process of collecting rice waste (arpa/ straw), for which the method of their processing, treatment and final product are used.
The visit is part of the modern research and professional training program for young people, establishing fruitful cooperation between educational institutions and the private sector.
The project “Agricultural waste as raw textile and design material in the municipality of Kochani” of the Macedonian Fashion Association and the Association of Citizens for Cultural and Artistic Activities Odonata is implemented within the framework of the Regional Program for Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 2 – ReLOaD2 funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
